'Just a few more from Amanda's evening session over the weekend. I really enjoy taking portraits of one person, because I can use a low aperture setting, which is the best way to get the skin all creamy while the background is soft, leaving the focal area crisp and detailed. I used the 50mm 1.4 lens on this one, using mostly f-stop 1.4 or 2.8. And it didn't hurt that Ms. Amanda is beautiful, no matter what glass I chose.
The eyes have it...

Do you like my ladder? Thank you,
Brimfield... (which is next week, by the way)

The lines in this one make me happy:

I love dandelions and clients who wear yellow:

I had to use this light-

Isn't the center of Ellington so pretty?

I love laughter in a session-

Honestly, all I can think of when I see this picture is: "When Irish eyes are smiling, sure 'tis like a morn in Spring..." Green grass, green eyes...

Thanks, Amanda! I can't wait to hear how your Mom reacts- I'm sure she's gonna' love that you did this for her Mother's Day gift!

ReplyDeleteYour pictures came out great. It's going to be so hard to decide isn't it?
It was really hard to decide!! I know Betsy took way more than 105 I had to choose from! I was soo glad she narrowed it down and took out all the ones I was either talking in or closing my eyes. But I am soo happy with how they turned out! My favorite one isn't even up!
ReplyDeleteBetsy: Thanks soo much! I can't wait to see you when I pick them up!
