This shoot was an early Christmas gift for Laylah's mom, and it was such a privilege to be a part of something so memorable. Laylah came from out of state to see me, and though it was technically a 'newborn session' I had to grab some of her family interacting with her. I love doing that when my clients don't really notice that I'm shooting-- I can grab those natural moments in between that teach us so much about ourselves.
And this next image explains a lot. I love it. See the way she looks at her Daddy?
Those eyes!
I had to show off her eyelashes:
Daddy's dog tags:
Love this one of Mommy and Laylah's hands:
Doesn't she just look so snuggled here?-
Grandpa even got in some of the images. Laylah thoroughly enjoyed this:
Isn't this one so sweet? She gave this adorable grin just as her mom leaned down to give her a little smooch:
I think the sock fuzz in between her toes is just adorable here:
To Laylah and the 'G' family:
Thanks for making the trip to come and see me! I enjoyed working with all of you... All the best as you watch your beautiful daughter grow! (And enjoy your early Christmas gift, Renee!)
A new baby is like the beginning of all things-wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.
